MOSCOW, May 12 – Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed Russia’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial partnerships in politics, economics, and culture during his message to participants of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (SPILF).

In the message uploaded to the Kremlin website on Friday, Putin highlighted Russia’s unwavering support for building partnerships based on mutual benefits in various spheres, including politics, security, economy, science, culture, and sports.

Putin expressed concern over illegitimate sanctions that undermine the principles of equality among nations and interfere with their internal affairs. He also criticized the termination of treaties in the realm of strategic stability, emphasizing that such actions pose significant harm to the international legal system and erode its very foundation. The Russian President emphasized that the rule of law and respect for state sovereignty form the cornerstone of an emerging multipolar world order that is fairer and more democratic.

The St. Petersburg International Legal Forum serves as a notable gathering of legal professionals, scholars, and experts, providing an avenue for substantive discussions on key legal matters. With President Putin’s endorsement, the forum is expected to make valuable contributions to the ongoing discourse surrounding international law and its vital role in shaping a just and equitable global order.
