Baku, Azerbaijan, November 18, 2024 – The London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC) delivered 153 new TX taxis to Azerbaijan. These zero-emission vehicles, finished in Tupelo Red at the request of President Ilham Aliyev, support the country’s efforts to integrate sustainable transportation into high-profile international events such as COP 29.
The delivery expands Azerbaijan’s LEVC fleet to over 1,500 vehicles since the partnership with Baku Taxi began in 2011. Equipped with eCity powertrain technology, the TX taxis offer an electric-only range of 78 miles and a total range exceeding 330 miles, enabling efficient and eco-friendly transportation for delegates attending the climate summit. These taxis operated on dedicated COP 29 routes, ensuring timely and sustainable mobility.
H.E. Elin Suleymanov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United Kingdom remarked that this initiative reflects Azerbaijan’s vision for progress through innovative and eco-conscious solutions. British Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Fergus Auld praised integrating British design with zero-emission technology, commending the vehicles’ functionality and accessibility during the global event.

The TX taxis prioritize passenger comfort and inclusivity, featuring a spacious cabin with a panoramic roof, device charging points, and a suite of accessibility features, including ramps, a swivel seat, and accommodations for wheelchair users.
