President Tinubu has called upon the United Kingdom to deepen its investment and partnership with Nigeria and Africa to foster enduring, broad-based prosperity across sectors.
President Tinubu made the appeal during a meeting with the United Kingdom’s Secretary of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Rt Hon. James Cleverly MP.
Highlighting the history of deep economic ties between Africa and the UK, President Tinubu emphasized the need for a competitive, technologically advanced economy that meets the needs of all citizens.
“The United Kingdom’s collaboration with Nigeria and Africa is crucial. We must work together to build a competitive economy,” the President asserted.

Regarding regional stability, President Tinubu underlined the role of security in West Africa and requested UK support to ensure a secure sub-region.
Rt Hon. Cleverly, in turn, commended President Tinubu’s economic reforms and expressed the UK’s commitment to promoting bilateral investment and partnership.
