A Ghana-Colombia Business Forum was held on September 7, 2023, as part of activities to mark a two-day official visit to Ghana by the Vice President of Colombia, H.E. Madam Francia Elena Marquez Mina.
The forum, which was attended by Ghana’s Vice President, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration. It brought together business leaders and entrepreneurs from the two countries to forge partnerships and explore avenues for collaboration in the areas of agriculture, energy, technology, and trade.
At the end of the forum, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in higher learning was signed between the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Ghana and the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Colombia.
The MoU aims to promote academic exchanges and research collaboration between the two countries’ universities and research institutions. It also seeks to facilitate the mobility of students and faculty between Ghana and Colombia.
The forum was a major success and is expected to boost bilateral ties between Ghana and Colombia.
