King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia is scheduled to visit India from May 29 to May 31, 2023, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. The visit aims to promote collaboration and deepen the bilateral relationship between India and Cambodia.
The visit will commence on May 30, 2023, with a grand ceremony, the Ceremonial Guard of Honour, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Following the ceremony, King Sihamoni will pay tribute at Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation.
During his visit, King Sihamoni will engage in bilateral meetings with several high-ranking Indian officials, including President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. These meetings are expected to provide opportunities to discuss various areas of cooperation and explore avenues for strengthening collaboration in fields such as trade, investment, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
The visit is expected to further deepen the multifaceted relationship between India and Cambodia.
