With the spirit of serving the public, the Taipei Fringe Festival continues to develop non-theater spaces that can inspire the creativity of performers to take art deeper into people’s lives. Many of the venues are multi-dimensional spaces in lanes and alleys. From markets to narrow lanes, hills, and riverbanks, the festival uses spaces of different types all over Taipei, which stimulates the artistic creativity of participating teams as well as increases the appeal of the event. While production costs are not subsidized, the performers can keep all ticket proceeds. To make buying tickets more convenient, all teams will use the same ticketing system, the integration creating further possibilities for cooperation.
