Finland’s Minister of Trade And Development To Lead Business Delegation To Nigeria, November 15-17, 2017

Mr. Kai Mykkänen, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, Finland

The President of the Nigerian- Finnish Association, Otunba Gbenga Daniel FNSE heartily welcomes Finland Minister for Foreign Trade and Development, H.E. Kai Mykänen to Nigeria. The Honourable Finnish Minister is leading a robust business delegation on bilateral and trade partnership with Nigeria scheduled for November 15-17, 2017.

According to the Minister, “the visit will offer an excellent opportunity for Finland to showcase leading-edge Finnish expertise in the Nigerian markets with their over 185 million consumers respectively”.

The Nigerian-Finnish Association established in 2002 to promote bilateral trade, development and cultural relations between Nigeria and Finland see the visit as important and timely as Nigerian companies and institutions strive to deepen sustainable socio-economic development in Nigeria and the world at large.

The visit will see the Minister and Business delegation interact with public institutions as well as local private actors and stakeholders in Abuja and Lagos.

Finland has a reputation for good governance, strong social security, and welfare of citizens and is also well known for its high-quality products in Nigeria. There is high expectation that this visit will help Finnish companies enhance their trade and collaboration within the Nigerian market.

The president of also hope that the visit will avail the opportunity to learn first-hand the current development in the Nigerian economy as regards the identified area of interest.
