Malawi and Morocco deepen their ties with the official opening of Malawi’s embassy in Rabat. This historic step marks a new era of cooperation and collaboration between the two nations.
Foreign Minister Nancy Tembo of Malawi and her Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, co-officiated the ceremony, highlighting the strong bilateral bonds and shared vision for the future. Tembo expressed gratitude for Morocco’s support and acknowledged the potential for learning and collaboration across various fields.
The inauguration signifies a commitment to concrete action, as outlined in the signed 2022-2024 cooperation roadmap. This agreement focuses on areas like education, agriculture, trade, technical cooperation, and security.
Both ministers emphasized the mutual ambition to unlock economic potential. Bourita commended Malawi’s openness to investment, recognizing the immense opportunities for shared prosperity.
Tembo’s visit extends beyond the ceremonial. She will travel to Morocco’s southern provinces, gaining firsthand insights into the region’s progress and witnessing the ongoing New Development Model. This exchange fosters mutual understanding and paves the way for future collaboration.
