On Saturday, the departing High Commissioner of Rwanda to Nigeria, Stanislas Kamanzi, was received in a farewell audience by President Muhammadu Buhari held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting between the two leaders marked the end of Kamanzi’s successful tenure in Nigeria
Ambassador Kamanzi expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and support he had received from the Nigerian government and people during his time in the country. He also highlighted the significant progress made in enhancing the relationship between Rwanda and Nigeria, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges.
President Buhari, in his response, commended Kamanzi for his outstanding service and contributions to enhancing the bilateral relationship between Rwanda and Nigeria. He also reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening ties with Rwanda, as well as with other African nations, in pursuit of common interests and goals.
Rwanda has made significant strides in economic development over the past decade, with a focus on technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Nigeria, on the other hand, remains a major economic powerhouse on the African continent, with a large and growing consumer market.
As Kamanzi concludes his tenure in Nigeria, his legacy will be remembered as one of the significant contributions to strengthening the bilateral relationship between Rwanda and Nigeria. His work in promoting trade, investment, and people-to-people exchanges has set the foundation for a stronger and more prosperous partnership between the two countries in the years to come.
