Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Waleed Al-Khereiji met with a delegation from the German Foreign Ministry, led by Director of the Middle East and North Africa Ambassador Tobias Tonkel and Director for Export Control Ambassador Gudrun Lingner.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the aspects of bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Germany and ways to enhance areas of cooperation, in addition to discussing topics of common interest.
Al-Khereiji stressed the importance of the Saudi-German relationship and the keenness of the two countries to further develop it in all areas. He also expressed appreciation for Germany’s support for Saudi Arabia in various fields.
Tonkel said that Germany is committed to strengthening its relations with Saudi Arabia and that the two countries have a lot to offer each other. He also expressed interest in exploring ways to enhance cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, and energy.
The meeting was also attended by the German Ambassador-designate to the Kingdom, Mr. Michael Kindsgrab.
The two sides agreed to continue their dialogue and cooperation to achieve their common goals.
