The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) in Abu Dhabi has admitted a new group of students for its 2023–2024 academic programs, including a Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) in UAE Diplomacy and International Relations, a Master of Arts in Global Affairs and Diplomatic Leadership, and a Master of Arts in Humanitarian Action & Development.
In an event at AGDA’s headquarters, His Excellency Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to the UAE President, and a board member of AGDA, highlighted the critical role these future diplomats will play in upholding the UAE’s international reputation and promoting peace and stability, according to a press statement from Mojo PR.
Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh stated, “The UAE’s leadership recognizes the importance of nurturing capable diplomats who contribute to our strategic vision. The UAE’s influential role is evident in its efforts to promote stability and peace.”
Addressing the students, he said, “At this Academy, you will gain an understanding of international relations and develop the skills required to tackle global challenges. Diplomatic service is a responsibility that demands determination and continuous professional development.”
AGDA’s students will have opportunities to interact with global diplomatic leaders, attend lectures and seminars, and participate in research initiatives on topics related to UAE foreign policy.
His Excellency Nickolay Mladenov, Director General of AGDA, welcomed the future diplomats and stressed the importance of cultivating diplomats who can shape international relations.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director of AGDA, noted the growing interest in diplomacy and encouraged students to serve the country.
AGDA provides a platform for students to gain diplomatic skills and knowledge. The curriculum includes subjects like UAE history, international law, security, and international relations, along with negotiation and crisis management skills.
