Every February, the United States celebrates the black history month, an acknowledgment to African American men and women who have made noteworthy contributions to America and other parts of the globe across different fields of life. It is in similar vein that the United People for African Congress (UPAC) in partnership with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) will hold a Free Webinar for people of African descent living and working across the country, scheduled for Monday, February 22, 2021 on Zoom Video.
The rendezvous will address issues centered on US Citizenship, Scams targeting immigrants, refugees and Asylum seekers who are seeking for jobs and financial assistance.
In addition, participants will learn about the meaning of the Social Security Number (SSN) to individuals and their families as it relates to retirement, disability, death and health insurance.
Speakers from FTC, USCIS and SSA will help participants to navigate through discussions about becoming a U.S. citizen and how to get the right help relating to immigration as the wrong help can hurt.
There will be an opportunity for participants to identify tricks used by fraudsters for those in search for jobs and financial assistance during this current health crisis.
