Washington DC, April 18, 2024 – High-level talks earlier today held in Washington  between Ambassador Furqat Sidiqov of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States and Ambassador Donald Lu, Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs at the US State Department, have set a course for strengthened relations between the two nations.

Their discussions centered on forging a deeper strategic partnership, reflecting the shared resolve of Uzbekistan and the United States to elevate their collaborative efforts. Ambassador Sidiqov acknowledged Ambassador Lu’s significant contributions in advancing the goals of both countries.

The talks highlighted areas of mutual interest and stressed the critical role of continued cooperation in navigating the complexities of the global landscape.
