Javlon Vakhabov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States, Canada, and Brazil, was recently honored with a farewell at Blair House, the U.S. President’s Guest House. The event was attended by several dignitaries from the U.S. Government, including Nicholas Berliner, Special Assistant to the President, Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu, and Ambassador Rufus Gifford, Chief of Protocol of the United States (U.S. Department of State).
During the event, Vakhabov was praised for his tremendous support and friendship, which he had always extended to the U.S. Government. His experience and expertise in government relations, international law, policy analysis, and public speaking were also highlighted. Vakhabov’s deep commitment to promoting Uzbekistan’s interests abroad was also recognized and commended.
Vakhabov’s impressive career has included serving as the First Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of the Foreign Ministry in Uzbekistan, as well as Director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan and Deputy Secretary of the National Security Council. He holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Legal Studies from The University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Throughout his time as Ambassador, Vakhabov has worked tirelessly to strengthen the ties between Uzbekistan and the United States, Canada, and Brazil. He has been a staunch advocate for increased trade and investment, cultural exchange programs, and cooperation in areas such as security and counterterrorism.
As Vakhabov’s time at The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Washington, D.C. gradually comes to an end, his contributions to the bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and the United States will not be forgotten. His dedication to promoting diplomacy and mutual understanding between nations will continue to inspire future generations of diplomats and government officials.
