Amb Abiodun Bashua was a retired career diplomat who was just in january 2019 nominated by the Nigerian mission in Ethiopia to be interim chairman of Nigerian community in Ethiopia.

Bashua had joined the foreign service in 1976 and served meritoriously in many capacities till his retirement when he chose to settle down in Addis Ababa.

He was on his way to Nairobi on a diplomatic trip when the crash occurred.

According close sources, the Nigerian embassy in Ethiopia will pay a condolence visit to the Bashua’s tomorrow.
