Saudi nationals who hold passports issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will no longer be required to apply for an entry visa to enter Singapore, starting from June 1, 2023. This move is anticipated to boost tourism and business relations between the two nations.

This change in visa requirements means that Saudi citizens with regular passports will no longer have to go through the process of applying for a visa to visit Singapore. It is essential to note that holders of diplomatic passports are already exempted from Singapore visa requirements and will not be impacted by this new policy.

The Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has made this announcement as part of its efforts to simplify visa procedures and make it more convenient for foreign nationals to visit Singapore.

The ICA has also clarified that Saudi nationals who plan to enter Singapore before June 1, 2023, will still need to apply for an entry visa. It is crucial to note that existing visa applications will not be refunded. Therefore, Saudi nationals must carefully plan their travel arrangements.

The announcement has been well-received by many Saudi citizens who travel to Singapore for both business and leisure purposes. It is expected that the elimination of visa requirements will enhance tourism and strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.

The decision to eliminate visa requirements for Saudi nationals visiting Singapore is a significant step towards facilitating seamless travel and improving relations between the two countries. This move is expected to make it more convenient for Saudi citizens to visit Singapore for business and leisure purposes and is likely to result in a surge in the number of visitors from Saudi Arabia to Singapore.
