Nigeria’s President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has promised to leave legacy projects behind when his government is inaugurated.
It is no fewer than 26 days before the handing over of Bola Tinubu as president of Nigeria, to take over from the incumbent Muhammadu Buhari
On May 29, 2023, Tinubu is due to be inaugurated as the newly elected President of Nigeria, after winning the February 25 Presidential election under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
President-elect Tinubu promised that his administration will work with all regions of the countries and avoid marginalization.
He stated that no part of the country will be marginalised in the aspect of development as projects will get to every part.
Tinubu said this earlier today while inaugurating projects in one of the Southern states, Rivers State.
He was invited on a two-day visit by the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who is from the rival People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“I will not marginalise any region, but will leave legacy projects across the length and breadth of Nigeria,” Tinubu said.
The president-elect hinted on how Rivers State helped him to victory stating that promises made during the election campaign will be kept.
He highlighted the impact of the Governor on the state while also commending the invitation to commission what he referred to as “the latest of the many wonderful developmental projects executed by his (Governor Wike) administration.”
Diplomatic Watch learnt that the Rivers State Governor has constructed about 12 flyover in the capital city.
Tinubu praised Rivers State Governor, Wike, calling him ”a man of great integrity who did not choose to serve his own interests, rather, the interests of the nation and the people of Rivers State.”
Other guests who attended the project inauguration include the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila; Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi; Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru; Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde; and governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq amongst others.
