President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine echoed that his country is doing everything within its power to make the world hear of their situation.
President Zelenskyy said Ukraine is deliberate about making the world understand their resistance against the invasion by Russian forces.
In his address to the Ukrainians and world powers, President Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukraine is keeping the strength of ‘international work’.
“Today, we kept the pace and strength of international work – the whole week gives Ukraine the results it needs.”
“In a week: the United States and Bahrain, the Netherlands and Belgium, Finland and Sweden, Norway and Denmark, and Iceland. Canada. New Zealand. The African Union and Comoros Islands.”
Zelenskyy added, “We are doing everything to make the world hear Ukraine, understand Ukraine, and help Ukraine. Because by helping us, the world protects itself.”
The Russia-Ukraine war is a major concern to world powers who have been seeking ways to end the crisis. President Zelenskyy assured the world that Ukraine will surely ‘achieve victory’.
“Resisting, defeating and punishing Russia enemy is our common task. In unity, making Ukraine stronger every day, adding new opportunities to our state every day, we will achieve victory,” President Zelenskyy said.
Prior to this time, US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken announced critical support for Ukraine in its quest to defend its territorial integrity.
Secretary Blinken mentioned that the United States stands ‘#UnitedWithUkraine.’
DiplomaticWatch reported during the week, that there were reports that Ukraine flew drones towards Kremlin, in an attempt to assassinate Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin.
Although, Putin was not at the building at the time of the attack, Ukraine denied any involvement in the assasination plan.
In February 20, 2023, President Joe Biden paid a physical visit to Kyiv on a diplomatic mission where he assured Zelenskyy of sustaining US support in terms of finances and military supplies.
In a bid to help Ukraine carry out its counteroffensive plan, the US announced a security assistance package of $300 million. The White House cleared that the security assistance will help Kyiv’s fulfil its request.
