South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) Deputy Minister, Candith Mashego-Dlamini, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK), H.E. Chull-joo Park, participated in a handover ceremony for a refurbished community hall in Mookgophong, Limpopo, on Friday.
The refurbishment of the hall was made possible through a partnership between the two countries. The hall serves as a place of shelter for victims of gender-based violence (GBV), and the renovations will make it more comfortable and safe for those who use it.
The handover ceremony was attended by government officials, representatives of the community, and other stakeholders. In her remarks, Deputy Minister Mashego-Dlamini emphasized the importance of partnerships between countries to address shared challenges. She also thanked the ROK for its support in refurbishing the community hall.
