Amman, Jordan – Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic and Expatriate Affairs Majid Qatarneh received a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador of South Africa to Jordan, Tselane Mokuena.
The ceremony took place at the Foreign Ministry on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
Qatarneh welcomed the new ambassador and expressed his hope that she would have a successful and productive tour of duty in Jordan. He also stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Mokuena conveyed her greetings from the South African government and people and expressed her commitment to working with the Jordanian government to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
She also praised Jordan’s role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
Jordan and South Africa have enjoyed close bilateral relations for many years. The two countries cooperate in a number of areas, including trade, investment, tourism, and education.
