ABU DHABI, UAE – Her Majesty Queen Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah of Malaysia, accompanied by her delegation, paid a visit to the headquarters of the General Women’s Union (GWU) in Abu Dhabi.
Upon her arrival, the Queen was warmly welcomed by GWU Secretary-General Al Reem Abdullah Al Falasi. The visit coincided with the GWU’s festivities commemorating the UAE’s 52nd National Day.
During her visit, the Queen interacted with representatives of the Children’s Advisory Council, which falls under the purview of the Office of the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and engaged with a group of UNICEF youth ambassadors attending the COP 28 Conference of the Parties.
To culminate her visit, the Queen toured the GWU’s facilities, including the nursery, and participated in planting a commemorative tree alongside Al Reem Al Falasi and the accompanying delegation.
