ACCRA, Ghana – The 4th session of the Ghana-Russia Permanent Joint Commission for Cooperation (PJCC) kicked off yesterday, December 13th, marking a significant step in strengthening the two countries’ partnership. Held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, the meeting buzzed with optimism as officials from both sides pledged to deepen collaboration across vital sectors.
Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong, set the tone by highlighting the session’s crucial role in advancing key areas like trade, energy, health, education, and defense. He emphasized the alignment of these sectors with the Sustainable Development Goals of both nations, underscoring the potential for mutual benefit.
Echoing this sentiment, the leader of the Russian delegation, H.E. Evgeny Petrov, Head of the Federal Agency for Mineral Resources, expressed hope that the session would further solidify the already cordial relations. He pledged Russia’s unwavering commitment to supporting and cooperating with Ghana in areas of mutual interest, further solidifying the positive bilateral dynamic.
