French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne definitively ruled out the possibility of sending French troops to aid Ukraine in the ongoing conflict with Russia.
“The French will not die for Ukraine. We will not send troops,” Sejourne declared on French radio station France Inter.
This statement comes after French President Emmanuel Macron acknowledged that the possibility of Western troops being deployed to Ukraine was discussed during a meeting in Paris with representatives from approximately 20 Western nations.
However, Macron emphasized that no consensus was reached, and most participating countries, including France, reiterated their opposition to sending troops or directly engaging in hostilities against Russia.
