Maximizing Impact Through Collaboration
Beyond high-profile speakers, PIAFRICA fostered collaboration among key stakeholders. A private breakfast roundtable, co-organized by the AFC, the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), and MiDA Advisors, brought together African institutional investors. Discussions centered on maximizing the impact of investments across the continent. Participants also examined the crucial role multilateral finance institutions play in facilitating local investor involvement in infrastructure and alternative investments.
Alternative Investments: A Catalyst for Growth
PIAFRICA recognized the growing importance of alternative investments. Ziyanda Mpakama, Associate Vice President at AFC Capital Partners, participated in a panel titled “The Rise and Future of Alternative Investments.” Her insights on diversifying private equity portfolios and unlocking opportunities in evolving industries resonated with the audience. The session also provided a platform for industry experts to explore innovative models for mobilizing capital towards infrastructure projects.
