LIVINGSTONE, Zambia – Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema welcomed his Botswanan counterpart, Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi, to the Kazungula Bridge border post today. President Masisi is on a two-day working visit to Zambia aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two nations.
The high-level talks between the presidents will focus on a range of bilateral, regional, and international issues of shared interest. A key outcome of the visit is expected to be the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in various sectors, including mining, minerals, tourism, agriculture, energy, trade, and investment.
These agreements aim to deepen economic cooperation and foster mutual development between Zambia and Botswana. The MoUs are anticipated to lead to enhanced collaboration in mining and mineral value addition, as well as collaboration in other key sectors like tourism and agriculture.
