French lawmakers and religious leaders from various faiths came together in Paris for an interfaith Iftar meal, a gesture promoting tolerance and understanding during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Around 450 participants gathered for the symbolic breaking of the fast, underscoring the importance of peaceful coexistence in French society.
YaĆ«l Braun-Pivet, President of the French National Assembly, highlighted the significance of the event. “This gathering allows us to showcase the ability of French society, with its diverse religions and political views, to communicate and build bridges across cultures,” she stated.
