South African President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Uganda for talks with his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni. Their discussions will focus on regional security and stability, particularly the ongoing conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
This visit follows President Ramaphosa’s attendance at the 19th Non-Aligned Movement summit held in Kampala in January 2024.
The leaders are no strangers to collaboration. They previously connected at the Uganda-South Africa Trade, Tourism, and Investment Summit in Pretoria, South Africa, in February 2023. This summit, aimed at fostering economic ties, attracted participation from government officials and the private sector of both nations.
Uganda seeks to become a leading African hub for trade, tourism, and investment.
