Lesotho’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations announced an official visit by Serbian Ambassador to Angola, His Excellency Mr. Milos Perisic, to Lesotho’s Foreign Minister, Honourable Lejone Mpotjoana. The visit aimed to reignite discussions on matters of mutual interest for both nations.
Lesotho and Serbia boast a long history of warm and friendly relations, but active collaboration between the two countries has yet to take root. A significant development occurred in October 2018 when Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Honourable Ivica Dacic, visited Lesotho. This visit was followed by a reciprocal visit to Serbia by Lesotho’s former Prime Minister, Dr. Motsoahae Thomas Thabane, in a bid to revive and solidify the existing fraternal ties between the two nations.
