Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has issued a stark warning, cautioning that the West’s potential military intervention in Ukraine could have catastrophic consequences for Europe.
In a statement reported by the online resource Index, Orban expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions in Ukraine, asserting that Europe stands on the brink of a perilous military confrontation.
“Today in Brussels, a pro-war sentiment prevails. The atmosphere in Europe is increasingly belligerent, overshadowed by the specter of war. I see the signs of war preparations everywhere, with NATO discussing the establishment of a mission in Ukraine,” Orban remarked.
He highlighted the progression from symbolic gestures to tangible military support, citing the influx of weapons and financial aid amounting to billions of euros. However, Orban argued that these measures have failed to alleviate the situation, instead exacerbating tensions.
“We are on the verge of Western military intervention in Ukraine, a move that could plunge Europe into chaos. Brussels is playing a dangerous game, risking divine wrath,” Orban cautioned.
