Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received the credentials of the new Zambian High Commissioner, His Excellency Mr. George Muhali Imbuwa, on Friday, April 19th, 2024, at the State House in Abuja.
High Commissioner Imbuwa’s appointment formally establishes him as the top Zambian diplomat in Nigeria.
President Tinubu used the occasion to encourage the High Commissioner to venture beyond the capital city, Abuja, and explore other regions of Nigeria. This, he believes, will open doors to identifying new areas of cooperation that can benefit both nations.
The Nigerian leader specifically highlighted the agricultural and tourism sectors as holding immense potential for collaboration. Additionally, President Tinubu stressed the importance of developing railway connections across Africa to bolster trade and tourism across the continent.
High Commissioner Imbuwa expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he has received from the Nigerian government since his arrival.
