Abu Dhabi, UAE – April 23, 2024 – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with high-ranking officials from Australia and Albania on Tuesday.
The President received Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles. Their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries, particularly in defence and military affairs. They also explored developments in the Middle East and strategies for promoting regional security and stability.
Separately, President Sheikh Mohamed met with Albania’s Minister of Interior, Taulant Bala. Minister Bala conveyed greetings from Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, expressing his best wishes for the UAE’s continued prosperity. The President reciprocated the well wishes and expressed his hope for further development and progress in Albania.
The UAE and Albania discussed expanding cooperation in policing and security matters. The talks explored ways for Albania to benefit from the UAE’s expertise and experience in these areas, building on the existing cooperation agreement between the two nations.
The meetings were attended by a delegation of prominent UAE officials, including Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.
