Responsible for the specially planned menu is the Swedish Chef of the Year in 2015, Mr Thomas Sjögren. Mr Sjögren is the youngest ever winner of the competition Swedish Chef of the Year, he won in February 2015 at only 23 years old.

Thomas Sjogren Swedish Chef

He is originally from the northern parts of Sweden, and hunting and fishing were a large part of his childhood. His upbringing also contributed to the main philosophy behind his cooking: creating straight-forward food based on fantastic products.

Sweden is a culinary nation shaped by its countryside. The summer – with long, light days and cool evenings – produces fruit that grows slowly and has rich flavors. The coastline provides high-quality fish and shellfish. And the vast forests are full of berries, mushrooms and game, which all have a special place in Swedish cuisine.

The combination of creative producers and chefs who use the countryside and produce to create innovative and forward looking cuisine and exclusive culinary experiences is at the core of what Sweden as a culinary nation can offer.
