The new tourist visa offers vast opportunities to some selected visitors identified to be professionals in certain areas such as entertainment, academics, IT, journalism, business, and others at the point of visa issuance.
According to government officials in Wellington, the new tourist visa will help the country benefit from the talents of visitors, allowing them to contribute to the economy while on a temporary stay.
The report stated that the process of obtaining it will be made seamless for everyone who meets the requirements.
The government is yet to make an official statement on how long the new tourist visa option will be operational.
