Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka, met with New Zealand’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Honourable Nanaia Mahuta, yesterday, where they discussed various matters of mutual interest and cooperation. The meeting marked their continued efforts to strengthen the relationship between Fiji and New Zealand.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Rabuka provided an update on the progress made in discussions for further collaboration between the two countries since their last meeting in March this year. Both ministers expressed satisfaction with the positive developments and emphasized the importance of fostering closer ties.
Prime Minister Rabuka took the opportunity to inform Minister Mahuta about recent national events in Fiji, highlighting how these occasions served as opportunities to unite the nation and celebrate its rich history, diverse cultures, and traditions. Honourable Rabuka expressed Fiji’s eagerness for increased engagement and collaboration through the Duavata Partnership.
