Guyana’s President, Irfaan Ali, on Thursday welcomed Brazil’s new Ambassador, Maria De Castro Martins, in a ceremony at the Office of the President.
The accreditation ceremony highlighted the strong bond between the two nations. President Ali emphasized their shared commitment to “people-centred development,” focusing on policies that benefit the citizens of both countries.
Discussions also touched on potential collaboration in key areas like energy, agriculture, sustainable forest management, and infrastructure development. President Ali described the relationship as “ever-deepening,” hinting at future advancements in cooperation.
Ambassador Martins pledged her dedication to ensure both Guyana and Brazil achieve their shared goals.
