Davos, Switzerland –The Africa House Future Forum 2025 took place from January 20-24 at the Precise Tale Seehof Davos, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and industry pioneers to shape Africa’s role in the global economy, technology, and sustainable development. Now in its fifth year, the Forum has drawn nearly 2,000 participants since its inception, establishing itself as a premier gathering for advancing economic growth and innovation.
This year’s theme “Africa: The Future Lives Here, Leading Generations into a New Era” guided the Forum’s discussions, reflecting the continent’s transformation through its young population, tech innovations, and growing global influence. Participants examined ways to boost innovation, create strong economies, and position Africa as a prime destination for investment and leadership.

H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, shared his perspective: “Africa’s future takes shape through its youth, entrepreneurs, and digital economic changes. We must act now, and Africa House enables us to transform our vision into reality.”
The Forum delved into several core areas. Tech leaders explored AI, fintech, and blockchain applications across African industries, focusing on building a unified digital economy. AfCFTA representatives tackled regional connectivity, logistics enhancement, and trade expansion to maximize economic growth. Investors developed plans to expand sustainable funding for startups, small businesses, and infrastructure projects. The creative economy emerged as a key focus, with Adebola Williams advocating for STEM education’s role in driving innovation through the music, film, and fashion sectors.
Distinguished co-chairs guided the event’s direction:
- H.E. Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation
- H.E. Cina Lawson, Togo’s Minister of Digital Economy and Transformation
- Samaila Zubairu, CEO of the Africa Finance Corporation
- Adebola Williams, creative Artist and Tech entrepreneur.

Their collective leadership helped steer critical conversations on Africa’s position as a global economic and innovation hub, reinforcing that Africa is not just the future—it is the present.
The Africa Night Gala Reception on January 21 at the Precise Tale Seehof Davos Hotel became a nexus of connection and collaboration. Public and private sector leaders came together over regional cuisine and cultural performances, engaging in meaningful dialogue about Africa’s economic evolution.

The Forum concluded with concrete commitments from leaders to advance technology adoption, trade expansion, and investment growth. These actions will support Africa’s continued economic development and global leadership role.
