Over 100 AmCham (American Chamber) of Commerce members in Poland kick-started their year with a vibrant discussion on “Economic & Business Outlook for 2024” at the Chamber’s first Monthly Meeting at Marriot Warsaw Hotel. Tony Housh, AmCham Chairman, welcomed attendees and introduced the expert panel: Dominika Bettman, Microsoft Poland’s General Manager; Geoff Gottlieb, International Monetary Fund’s Senior Regional Representative; and Adam Czerniak, Director for Research and Chief Economist at Polityka Insight.
Housh skillfully moderated the conversation, exploring not just Poland’s economic prospects but also the wider European and global context. The panelists faced head-on crucial topics like the lingering global financial crisis, post-pandemic challenges, inflation risks, and the vital role of monetary councils. However, they also underscored Poland’s unique economic advantage compared to other regions.
Bettman, with her deep tech expertise, highlighted the transformative power of innovation in tackling business challenges and unlocking profitability. But it wasn’t just a show-and-tell; AmCham members actively shaped the discussion with insightful questions and lively dialogue, proving the Chamber’s commitment to member-driven collaboration.
