On Thursday, April 20, 2023, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Iran, and India held their first trilateral political talks in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Mnatsakan Safaryan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, chaired the discussion, which also included Seyed Rasoul Mousavi, Assistant of the Foreign Minister of Iran and Head of the Regional General Department of South Asia, and J P Singh, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
The meeting marked a significant development in building a stronger relationship between the three countries, which already have a long history of cultural, economic, and political ties. They also indicated the potential for increased economic cooperation between Armenia, Iran, and India, as the delegates explored the possibility of boosting trade between them.
