The Eiffel Tower’s origins trace back to the 1889 Paris World’s Fair, a landmark event celebrating the French Revolution’s centennial. The global community celebrates the 135th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, an enduring symbol of French creativity, engineering excellence, and international cooperation.

On March 31st, 1889, Gustave Eiffel himself planted the French flag atop his revolutionary structure, marking the inauguration of what was then the world’s tallest man-made marvel. Though initially designed as a temporary exhibit, the tower’s grandeur and innovation captured hearts worldwide, converting it into a permanent Parisian milestone and a symbol of French culture.

The construction of the Eiffel Tower showcased human ingenuity and collective effort. Over a span of 2 years, 2 months, and 5 days, a team of 50 engineers and designers from various backgrounds worked tirelessly alongside hundreds of skilled workers to assemble 18,038 metal parts, using 2,500,000 rivets and 7,300 tons of iron. This monumental feat proved not only technical prowess but also a spirit of international unity.

Beyond its architectural significance, the Eiffel Tower is a beacon of diplomacy and cultural exchange. It welcomes visitors from every corner of the globe, building connections and promoting understanding among diverse cultures. Its universal appeal transcends borders, languages, and ideologies, embodying the spirit of international unity and cooperation.
