Virginia, USA – The Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies recognized two social change advocates with the prestigious Dr. Nina L. Meyerhof Leadership Award on November 11, 2023. Christopher Dapaah and Vida Osei-Agyemang of Ghana were lauded for their dedication and remarkable achievements in improving the lives of others during the award ceremony held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Virginia, USA.

Christopher Dapaah has dedicated over two decades of his life to championing civil society and community development initiatives not only in Ghana but also across borders. With his expertise spanning governance, education, health, women’s and children’s rights, and social policy, Dapaah has been a driving force behind meaningful reforms.

In his role as Country Director of Resource Link Foundation, Dapaah has skillfully facilitated multi-sector collaboration and advocacy. His strategic engagement with Ministries, local governments, and organizations has strengthened policy and accountability, leading to improved healthcare access, governance, women’s and children’s empowerment, and educational quality for all Ghanaians.

Dapaah’s impact extends beyond his role at Resource Link Foundation. He serves as National Vice President of the NGOs on the Rights of the Child coalition, where he tirelessly advocates for the protection and empowerment of Ghana’s most vulnerable group. His unwavering commitment to children’s rights has led to significant advancements at the regional, national, and global levels.

He holds the distinguished position of Fellow and Regional President for the International Council on Social Welfare’s West and Central Africa region. In this role, he draws upon his over two decades of experience to foster regional cooperation and social protection, advancing international social welfare initiatives. Dapaah’s visionary guidance is paving the way for a more equitable and collaborative ecosystem across the continent.

Vida Osei-Agyemang: A Pioneer for Sustainable Urban Development and Gender Equality

Vida Osei-Agyemang’s exceptional expertise as Senior Development Planning Officer for Kumasi’s Suame Municipal Assembly has transformed the city’s urban landscape. With her advanced degrees in urban management and business administration, Osei-Agyemang has spearheaded the strategic planning and implementation of government projects.

Her unwavering leadership has strengthened infrastructure, promoted inclusive growth, and enhanced livability in Kumasi.
