Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a message expressed congratulations over Malaysian National Day.
In his message to Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Bin Mohamad, President Rouhani hoped for developing cooperation between Iran and Malaysia.
He also wished for reinforcing political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
The nationwide Independence Day celebration is held on 31 August, the original independence date of Malaya, while Malaysia Day was a public holiday only in East Malaysia.
