Mr. Abderrahman Tlemçani, a prominent figure in Moroccan civil society, has been chosen as a member of this esteemed committee. The election occurred during the 30th Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on June 22, 2023, held in New York. Out of the 181 member states present and voting, Morocco garnered an impressive 153 votes.
