Nepal expands global diplomatic reach with Marshall Islands and Cameroon

Nepal has officially established diplomatic relations with the Marshall Islands and Cameroon at the United Nations headquarters in New York. This accomplishment expands Nepal’s diplomatic ties to a total of 181 countries, showcasing its commitment to broadening its diplomatic outreach.

This development highlights Nepal’s increasing influence in the global community and its dedication to fostering peace, stability, and cooperation among nations.

During the signing ceremony, the ambassadors of both countries met and discussed various matters of mutual interest. Amrit Rai, the Permanent Representative/Ambassador of Nepal to the UN, signed the agreement with Amatlain E. Kabua, the Ambassador of the Permanent Mission of the Marshall Islands to the United Nations.

Similarly, on a separate occasion, H.E. Amrit Rai and H.E. Michel Tommo Monthe of Cameroon signed a Joint Communique in New York, establishing a framework for collaboration in trade, investment, culture, and education.

With this, the number of countries with which Nepal has diplomatic relations reached 180.
