Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali has praised the good working relationship between the Nigerian missions abroad and their defence sections.

He stated this during a courtesy call on the Nigeria Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Tijjani Bande, in his office in New York.

A statement by the minister’s spokesman, Col. Tukur Gusau, stated that the minister promised the permanent representative of the full support of his ministry towards discharging his mandate at the United Nations and congratulated him on his appointment.

Responding, Ambassador Bande described the relationship between diplomacy and defence as a major strength of any great nation and congratulated the ministry for the successes recorded so far by the Armed Forces of Nigeria especially in the fight against insurgency.
