President Buhari Launches New Passport With 10 Years Validity

Good times are here as both Nigerians home and in diaspora will no longer visit embassies and passport centres frequently or spend hard earned money on their e-passport renewal.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday at the Federal Executive Council launched the newly enhanced security Nigerian e-passport with 10 years validity in Abuja.

G7 Summit: No United Front on Ukraine Despite Early Optimism

The President and his Vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, took possession of their 10 year validity passport presented by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazzau and the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Mohammad Babandede.

The Comptroller of NIS said “The new passport reform programme is weather friendly, International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) compliant, it has polycarbonate technology that eliminates damage, enhanced security features and save Nigerians in the Diaspora time of frequent visit to Nigerian Embassy among others.”
