The Turkish embassy in Bangladesh has announced an exclusive diplomatic outreach, which it says was meant to set the tone for the inauguration of an art exhibition tagged “Rising from the Ashes Exhibition 2023.” The diplomatic outreach is meant to continue with the exclusive art exhibition from September 22 to September 26, 2023.
According to the embassy in Dhaka, the exclusive art exhibition is to strengthen diplomatic relations between Turkey and Bangladesh through the public display of art and culture between the two countries.
The opening of the exclusive diplomatic outreach was attended by so many dignitaries from both countries, including the Turkish ambassador to Bangladesh, Ramis Şen. Present at the event were artists, art collectors, and diplomats.
The exclusive art exhibition, which is an extended part of the outreach event, will feature the display of art works depicting the culture, spirit, and landscape of Turkey as it relates to its friendly relations with Bangladesh.
In the words of Tuba Ahsan, a renowned Istanbul-based fashion designer and one of the leading directors of the event, the exhibition isn’t just about the intent to showcase the arts; it also commits to supporting social change and environmental issues. It is also meant to promote unity and empathy towards communities ravaged by natural disasters.
He made reference to the event of February 6th, in which Turkey and Syria were struck by a devastating earthquake, saying that funds will be channeled to the reconstruction of new homes. Ahsan stated that such support symbolizes what the “Rising From the Ashes Exhibition 2023” represents.
The exclusive art exhibition organizers have announced that the exhibition will feature the works of diverse artists drawn from both countries. It is expected that a long list of Bangladeshi artists will be on display. Artists listed include Auntora Mehrukh Azad, Nazia Ahsan Chaity, Hridita Anisha, Soma Surovi Jannat, Najib Tareque, Farhana Afroz Bappy, Jannatul Ferdous Mukty, Masuda Khan, Suborna Morsheada, Taiara Farhana Tareque, Rakibul Anwar, Azizee Fawmi Khan, Kazi Tahsin Agaz Apurbo, Shaharin Sultana, Anannya Mehpar Azad, Shehzad Shahriar Chowdhury, and Sarah Jabin.
The exclusive art exhibition, which will begin in a few days, has taken place in many cities around the world, including Doha, New Jersey, Kuwait City, Istanbul, and Doha. According to organizers, it is expected to take place in Kuala Lumpur and Amsterdam.
The Aloki Convention Center in Tejgaon, the Bangladeshi capital, will play host to the event, which promises to be a demonstration of a strong cultural bond and deepened diplomatic relations between Turkey and Bangladesh.
