On Tuesday, April 18th, 2023, Estonia’s President, His Excellency Alar Karis, hosted Her Excellency Margaret Mutembeya Otteskov as she presented her credentials to serve as Uganda’s official representative to Estonia.
During their meeting, President Karis applauded Ambassador Otteskov for her achievement in becoming the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda to the Republic of Estonia, emphasizing the significance of firming up the already cordial bilateral relations between their two countries.
Earlier in the year, Ambassador Otteskov had already presented her credentials to other Heads of State in the region, including H.E. Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson, the President of Iceland; and H.E. Sauli Niinistö, the President of the Republic of Finland.
As a highly respected member of the diplomatic community, Ambassador Otteskov brings a wealth of experience in diplomacy, trade, and investment promotion combined with her track record of successful project management in Uganda. Therefore, with this appointment as Uganda’s official representative to Estonia, she is poised to further enhance the existing cooperation between the two States.
