Kenyan Ambassador, His Excellency, Lazarus Ombai Amayo concluded his diplomatic service in the United States with a farewell ceremony hosted by the Acting Chief of Protocol of the US State Department,  Ethan Rosenzweig at the Blair House, also known as The President’s Guest House, in Washington, D.C.

A distinguished gathering of dignitaries, including Assistant Secretary of State for Africa Molly Phee, state department officials, Ambassadors, business leaders, civil society leaders, and Embassy staff, came together to celebrate Ambassador Amayo’s distinguished career.

Ambassador Amayo served in various high-ranking positions before his role in the US. Notably, on July 17, 2020, at the White House in Washington D.C., he presented his Letters of Credence to President Donald J. Trump, officially accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to the United States.
